Francesca Curto actively participates in the family business, following in her father’s footsteps. In fact, he passed down to her his love for the countryside, his respect for its products, his boundless passion for great wines. Thus her desire to make the most of the grapes from their vineyards, located in the land of origin of Nero d’Avola, with the ambition to produce great wines.
Her love of wine brings her to France, to do an internship in the heart of the country of production of fine French reds: Saint Emillion in Chateau Villemaurine, Chateau Timberlay in Upper Bordeaux of the Giraud family and also in Saint Emillion at Chateau Clos Fourtet of the Lurton brothers (producer of Premier Grand Cru).
Today, she shares joys and sorrows of her family business, though her main task is to follow carefully the enological phases: from production to wine-making to marketing. The Curto family’s wines are highly appreciated, especially in Burgundy, (Dijon, Lille, Tours etc.) a land of fine red wines, as well as in Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, United States of America. They are also meeting with great success in Eastern and South America markets.
